Time Publisher Donald Fries Steps Down

I suppose this is what "transformation" must feels like, moving away from horse-drawn carriages to internal combustion engine. It's gut wrenching, horrible for not only the individual affected, the management but also the staff and, in the short run, the consumers. However, the media (and I mean the whole delivery mechanism) is changing, finding its footing (baby steps) and like an awkward teenager will find its bearing in due time. During this "metamorphosis", I'm sure, we will have plenty of victims. I simply hope that Mr. Fries has enough saved for his retirement and can Twitter during his break from the TIME (of course, until there's a new technology or medium that comes along!)
