Mr. Rieckhoff,
As a soldier, patriot and a conscientious/thinking citizen of these United States I'm sure you've figured out that an American Soldier serves no other purpose than to be a pawn of the prevailing regime of power brokers; be it FDR, Truman/Ike, Johnson/ Nixon or Bush and his cabal of neo-cons - it's all the same.
Long ago, the Roman Centurion legions had no different a role - pleasing the maddening crowds back in Rome with the unquestioning power of the ruler. How will the Obama administration handle the madness of the past, stave off the power brokers and let us emerge as a renewed power - I'd leave it up to brave souls like you. Good luck!
