My heart goes out to you, but you chose to join - unless, of course, you were drafted? If it's the earlier, why would you , or any sane person for that matter, join the killing machine and take up arms (except as a State militia member to defend your territory and rights) against a "fictional" enemy?
Part of our problem has been that the citizens just haven't been informed enough. With the proliferation and ubiquity of the Internet I hope that all changes.
