It's an I told you so setup! Heaven forbid, if we're ever attacked again (specifically during Obama's term), then he and the Rethuglican cronies can point the finger and say .... see, we told you so.
I hope that the Americans have figured out the shock-fear-usurpation-abuse cycle by now, especially after the last eight years of its generous application and the subsequent disastrous results.
Somehow, seeing public's panic and fear of the swine flu - and the hand-sanitizers flying off the shelves, even at the ACE Hardware store, in the last few weeks makes me think otherwise!
