If Obama really is what he claimed during his election, then he'd want to be someone who get carved up on Mt. Rushmore alongside other great presidents. However, I'm afraid he has surrounded himself with the same neo-CONs who have very focused interests - namely their own and their backers.
Chicago politics should be his vindication, he shone through that sewage and became the POTUS - in fact, made him stronger. If he's indeed the bi-product of Chicago politics then he should be able to easily overcome these minor hurdles and be triumphant - that's the Obama people voted for, not some corporate/PAC shill.
