Sanford's Affair Might Have Jeopardized His Top-Secret Clearance


What do you mean "might have", it unequivocally did. You can't have any interaction (and especially an affair) with a foreign national while holding clearance and not telling your Facilities Security Officer (FSO). With the TS (or even Secret) clearance, you're suppose to report any such activities by law to your FSO, who, in turn, is obligated to report it to Defense Security Services (DSS - these guidelines are clearly delineated in the NISPOM). He should be stripped of his clearance and, according to the DSS, thrown in the poky. This is nothing short of treason.
